Having worked on my golf game with Scott Szymoniak over the past four years, I can attest to his desire and passion to help players get better. His knowledge of the technical aspects of the game coupled with excellent communication skills make him one of the most effective young instructors in the world today. He has made the game more fun for me, and I'm sure he can do the same for you!

Knowing that Scott Szymonaik has experience teaching players at the highest level of the game intrigued me enough to take a lesson from him. After working with him and using the SAM putt lab, I finished the 2006 Hooters Tour season with a win and several other strong finishes. I am confident that Scott will help me get my game to the next level. We have already started 2007 with a win on the Hooters Winter Tour! Thanks Scott!

We have been blessed to have Maeve Cromwell as an instructor at Braelinn Golf Club. She has sparked the interest of girls in a sport notoriously male. Her patience and instructing methods are clear and precise. The girls are coming back for more and she's touching the hearts of many to persue a sport that has had little organization involving youth programs. It's an untapped industry and Maeve excells at prompting more from each player she instucts. We're going to have a bunch of little pros coming from Braelinn because of her abilities. We are lucky to have her.

Less than one year ago I decided to take up golf. Since I only played a few times as a kid, I knew some golf instruction would help. The Canongate I Pro shop recommended teaching pro Matt Brass and I am very glad they did. Matt's instructions are clear, easy to understand, and focus on the fundamentals. He covers approach, setup, and swing style. His qualifications and personal teaching style have set me on the path to excel in golf, for fun and in competition. Because of Matt's capable instruction I have already realized how rewarding golf can be. While playing my first 18 holes at River Forest Golf and Country Club, I scored my first birdie on hole 11, 145 yard carry. Two weeks later, at Hammer's Glen, I scored 16 over par on the front nine. To play at the level I desire, Matt checks with me after each round to see how I played. His enthusiasm for my achievements and his support of my desire to excel keep me in the game. Lessons with Matt Brass are one of the best investments I made in getting significant improvements in my golf game.

For anyone trying to improve their game, I would suggest lessons with Maeve Cromwell. My handicap has come down and my enjoyability of the game has increased. Maeve seeks to understand first and makes suggestions about technique and equipment after assessment. Most of the time, the changes are minor so as not to disrupt my game. From tee to green, Maeve can help you take your game to the next level!

Ever since I started taking lessons from Matt Brass, my swing has dramatically improved. In the year I have been taking lessons from Matt, I have dropped over ten strokes. Not only did my game improve, but I got to know a great guy.

Andy Pittman understands the way a woman approaches the game of golf, selects her clubs, and the way she hits the ball. His patience, positive influence, and instructional techniques have benefited me significantly.

Mr. Andy is great for juniors and everyone. He provides a fun environment and even when you hit a bad shot, he says "good miss." Mr. Andy works a lot with the fundamentals like your stance, grip, ball position and so on. If anyone would want lessons, I would suggest Mr. Andy. He has helped my golf game a lot and I am sure he helps everyone he teaches.

I have been a member of Canongate for 40 years. I have always strived to improve my game. I noticed as I recuperated from shoulder and back surgeries and celebrated birthdays that my golf game was changing. I was struggling to play decent golf. Andy Pittman came to Canongate a few years ago, and I was talking to him about the realization that as I was approaching "senior citizen" status my game was going down hill, and he said "let's take a look at what you are doing." Andy analyzed my posture, swing, and abilities and did not drastically change anything I was doing. He worked with my swing and fined tuned it, gave me confidence, and my game showed immediate improvement. He is a very positive teacher instilling in all of his students a positive attitude towards the game and a love for golf. When my game slips I always go back to Andy for a tune up!

Ms Cromwell,
I wanted to thank-you so much for your time and patience on Monday
afternoon. Both of my girls, Mackenzie and Cameron, absolutely loved
their class with you. When they got home they were so excited to tell
their mother about their lesson, and honestly your name dominated the
conversation. It is quite obvious that you have been blessed with the
gift of teaching. As an educator I believe that I can spot effective
teaching when I see it in action. Monday afternoon you demonstrated so
many effective teaching practices that I wish all of my staff could
watch you teach for one hour. Tuesday afternoon I called the girls
from work to see if they would like to go and practice when I got home
and they almost came through the phone with excitement. I know much of
that desire to want to get out there again was a direct result of such a
positive first experience with you. I felt it was necessary to let you
know how grateful my wife and I are and how much we are looking forward
to the rest of the class. I hope you have a great week and we will see
you on Monday.
